

Raised in a working-class family, he relied on food stamps, Medicaid, and public schools early in life to get ahead. He went on to become a public school teacher, earn five degrees, and work his way up to lead Nevada's Senate and serve as Attorney General. Along the way, he's taken on opioid profiteers, corporate landlords, and anyone who tries to exploit Nevada families. Now, he's running for Governor to build a Nevada where every family in every neighborhood can get ahead.
